Osnapz is all about recognizing and rewarding your social media activity!
We do this by assigning points for your social activity and awarding beautiful, unique
badges for you to show off and/or display on your website/blog.
Once you link your social media accounts, we check how active and engaged your are on the site and
award experience points for each activity. Easy tasks are worth less than more difficult tasks.
So a Twitter tweet is worth 1 point, while getting a recommendation on LinkedIn is worth 10 points.
Your experience points from all your social sites are totaled to determine your social media level.
Your level is just a method of determining where you're at compared to other social media users.
Each successive level requires more experience points to obtain as well.
Once you've signed up and linked your social media accounts, you just need to continue using
your social sites as you normally would. We'll take care of checking your accounts to update your points and level,
and awarding you new badges.
You'll be notified by email when you get new badges, and if you choose to, auto-post to your Twitter account.
The badges are like your medals of honor or boyscout merit badges. Show them off to say "Haha, I've got 10,000 followers!".
Display them on your website or blog to serve as proof of your social accomplishments. Collect as many as you can! We have a
lot of exciting new features coming up and are adding new badges and sites all the time!
You're awarded badges each time you meet any of the critieria for gaining our badges. Each badge
is unique and requires you to have achieved a certain level of activity. You can view any of the
badges on our site and you'll see what's needed to get it.
We'll automatically check every night for any new badges for you, or you can always click the "Update Your Badges"
button on your dashboard or your profile page.
In your member admin, click the "social sites" tab to access the social sites we currently support.
You'll be sent to the site's login screen where you'll need to sign in to allow us to access your
data. The sites typically use OAuth for authentication, meaning Osnapz will never have access
to any of your login information.
Make sure you really do qualify for the badge by viewing the badge's detail page to see what the critieria is for it.
There is a lag in time where the data we get from the API's may not be yet up to date with your actual data. You
may need to just check back in a few hours, and click the "Update Your Badges" button. If a badge is still missing,
you can contact us to check it out.
You may turn auto-posting to your Twitter account on or off, by going to your admin page then clicking the "account"
tab, then "Settings".
